Happy Holidays from Netbriefings

From Netbriefings to all our Customers, Partners, and Stakeholders.. Have a Happy Holidays and a Prosperous New Year!!

Day 1 in Beijing with GNET

I arrived in Beijing on Sunday September 21st.  It was Moon Holiday, but I was still met by Billy Xu one of the founders from GNET.  This post is on the day one arrival and a late day visit to the Birds Nest.  I found the security at the Birds Nest similar to the Security in St. Paul, MN for the Republic National Conventions.  For more information about that reference my earlier post on the RNC and the Anarchists titled “Anarchist disrupted the Republican National Convention (RNC)”.  However, the security was much higher at the RNC.

Day 2-3 in Beijing with GNET

On day 2 and 3, I visited the GNET Corporate headquarters and their R&D center in Beijing.   At the Corporate Headquarters I met with GNET Staff for Customer Support, Technical Support, Sales and Marketing.   At the R&D Center I had the opportunity to reconnect with Billy and meet their developers.

Paralympics at the Birds Nest in Beijing

I recently spent two weeks in Asia working with a new partner of Netbriefings, GNET out of Beijing. While I was the President of our partner company was so kind to get me tickets to the Birds Next to see a few hours of the Paralympics. I found the Paralympics were very touching!

Final Post From Mumbai

On my way back home from China and Taiwan, I stopped into Mumbai India to meet with another partner company and some of their prospects.  Our partner company is Sunflower India, from Pune.  Vyankatesh Kulkarni is the President of Sunflower and hosted me well.

The Trip of the loon. Thanks GNET for the Opportunity!!

During my trip to China to visit our partner GNET, I wanted to bring some gifts from Minnesota.  I decided to bring some original artwork from a local Minnesota artist Rebecca Lee.  The art piece was a picture of a Minnesota Loon.  I called it the trip of the Loon, or Minnesota state bird.  As a wrap up to my Loon trip I created the following thank you to GNET for their hospitality.   The vocal music for the post is also from Rebecca Lee and is titled Itasca.  Please listen for the cry of the Loon in Rebecca’s song.

Just a few more thoughts about the RNC!!

I did not get any comments to the RNC post, but I did get a number of emails.  So, I thought I would weigh in once more. I really feel sorry for the peaceful protester that had their message drowned out by the Anarchists.

I actually know a couple people that marched in one of the protest.    I definitely think they have a right to their views and have a right to get their message out.  However, with the bad guys trying to cause so much problems I think they were also uncomfortable and their message may have been drowned  out.

When the bad guys are trying to incite a riot it become very uncomfortable.  I think the police maybe did over react at times but the tension in the air was so high!  I am not sure I had that type of adrenalin rush since my last rocket attack in Vietnam…
